On Saturday, March 20 join Anne Patrick and Meg Gerber for a virtual two-hour workshop combining mindful movement and mindful eating techniques with a focus on balancing, restoring, and nourishing you from deep within during the winter season. The winter can often be a time where we feel stuck, lethargic, and spacey. This workshop addresses ways to shift that energy to get your fires burning bright once again. You will leave with concrete tools to support yourself mind, body, and spirit. This workshop is open to all people, no yoga or nutrition experience needed. Bring a yoga mat, a blanket, water, and a little snack for a mindful eating practice.
The workshop will start with a yoga practice led by Anne Patrick. This slow flow and restorative yoga sequence, allows you to explore yoga as a tool to get to know yourself better to release stress held deep within. This sequence will help you access and unlock tension to clear space in the body and mind. We will start with a warming slow flow style practice focusing on the hips and twists and then move to restorative poses for up to 5 minutes allowing connective tissue to open more effectively.
Meg Gerber will discuss how mindful eating is the integration of presence and stress management to optimize digestion and whole body balance. We will discuss how proper digestion goes beyond just the food itself - what also matters is the ‘how’ and ‘when’. Meg will provide mindful eating guidance as well as nutrition tips for optimizing your digestive balance in the winter. Her discussion and guided mindful practice will leave you feeling empowered and balanced.
